Trisha Stotler is a Vipassana Meditation instructor with an active practice in Northern Virginia. She has been a student of meditation for over twenty years, and is on the Board of the Insight Meditation Community of Washington. As a breast cancer survivor and a mom to three young kids, Trisha considers mindfulness techniques an essential part of her daily life. Her practice and teaching is influenced by Depth Psychology and Core Energetics, and she has a keen interest in the mind-body relationship as it relates to anxiety, chronic pain and illness, depression and trauma. Trisha is a graduate of the MBSR teacher training led by Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and the Stress Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. She has a Master’s degree in nonprofit management, and prior to teaching meditation full-time was the Director of Development for the Physics Department at UC, Berkeley.
