A love of fitness brought Dan to yoga. Now yoga and meditation are the center practice for his well being. By opening the body, yoga ultimately opens the mind. Dan leads classes that focus on staying mindful, being in the Now through presence of breath, and letting go of expectations to break down barriers. His classes encourage slow conscious movement, emphasize alignment, and challenge the practitioner to silence the chatter of the brain to empower the body and spirit. Proper form, core integrity, and injury prevention are prominent themes when he teaches. Dan completed his RYT200 at EMW, and a fire for yoga keeps him a perpetual student.
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away."
~Henry David Thoreau
