East Meets West Yoga Center

Dawn Curtis

Dawn brings a compassionate and nurturing feel to her classes, and creates and holds a safe space for her students to experience deep and profound awakenings. Yoga allows you to switch on the luminous, intuitive and creative part of yourself.  By connecting to the luminous parts of ourselves, we discover and experience the truth that everything we need to know is within.   Dawn’s passion for health and spirituality continues to lead her down the yogic path.  Her intention is to become a catalyst for transformation and growth, and to help students find their individual paths towards a healthy mind, body and spirit.   As the owner of East Meets West Yoga Center, Dawn embraces the opportunity to provide space for students and teachers to share their passion for yoga.

Dawn’s yoga journey began with Kundalini yoga in 1989.   She uses the technology of Kundalini yoga and it’s teachings to navigate through life with grace and ease, and to uplift all who cross her path.  Dawn also teaches light-hearted Hatha classes, with a strong emphasis on self-knowledge, alignment and breath.    Dawn has many years of experience teaching Gentle Yoga, Beginner Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, and loves working privately with students and corporate clients.     Dawn loves to use yoga as a therapy in working with trauma and clients with cancer.

Dawn has been leading Yoga Teacher Trainings since 2010 and co-leads the 200 and 500 hour, and prenatal Teacher Trainings at East Meets West Yoga Center.

Dawn (ERYT 500) has been blessed with the privilege to participate in many teacher-training intensives, workshops and weekend retreats taught by amazing yogis with decades of experience teaching.    Most recently, Dawn was certified as an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist through the Himalayan Institute.
